被喻为“世界屋脊”的青藏高原,一向以其独特的人文和自然景观而闻名于世,是科学探险考察和生态旅游的胜地。而位于青藏高原地区的形形色色的自然保护区,又是世界屋脊上生态环境最奇特。
Nature Reserves in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region stand out because of their large area, rich diversity of species, high scientific value, the enormous number of rare and precious species of flora and fauna and abundant eco-tour resources. Here you can find the Qiangtang Wildlife Reserve, the biggest one both in China and Asia. What makes it more amazing is that the most northern seasonal tropic rainforest in China can be viewed here in the Motuo Reserve which lies in the south of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Roof of the World. The nature reserves here contain all the land eco-systems within China and protect a tremendous number of species of rare wildlife including giant pandas, Yunnan snubnosed monkeys, Tibetan antelopes, wild yaks and many geological relics and natural wonders. Consequently these reserves have very high scientific values.
