从语义空缺角度谈文化负载词的分类及翻译

语言既是文化的载体,又是文化的写照。一个民族独特的文化必然在其语言中打下烙印,产生大量的"文化负载词"。这些词在另一种语言里找不到对等或与之完全契合的词,产生语义空缺,造成翻译上的困难。文章从语义空缺的角度,对文化负载词进行分类,针对各类别的特点提出不同的翻译策略,以填补语义空缺,实现语符意义的转换和文化信息的传递。

Language is the carrier as well as the mirror of culture.The distinct culture of one nation would certainly leave its mark on its language,bringing lots of ＂culture-loaded words＂.It is hard to find counterparts of these culture-loaded words in another language,which creates semantic vacancy and causes great difficulty in translating.The paper is on the classification of culture-loaded words in terms of Semantic Vacancy,and introduces strategies for translating different sorts of culture-loaded words in order to bridge the gap of two cultures.
