现代大学制度下的通识教育

General Education in Modern University System

通识教育的目的在于培养健全的个人和自由社会中健全的公民。大学使命与通识教育具有内在的融洽和相互促进的关系。目前,我国大学通识教育的实践偏差,既根源于我们对大学使命的追问和理解不够深入,也根源于大学办学的市场化和大学体制的行政化。因此,有必要进行基于制度创新的大学通识教育改革。

The purpose of general education is to cultivate sound individuals and citizens in a free society. The mission of university and general education are inherently harmonious and mutually promoting each other. Cur- rently, some problems in the practice of general education are not only rooted in our shallow understanding of the university＇s mission is not deep enough, but also rooted in the market - oriented university system and its bureaucrat- ic inclination. Therefore, general education reforms based on institutional innovation are urgent for universities in China.
