汉语小说及其英译文中态度资源的对比研究

A Comparative Study of Attitude in Chinese Novel and Its English Version

态度意义具有弥漫性和强弱变化的特点,这影响着译者的策略选择。对比《二马》和其英译文发现:原文和译文评价意义的韵律线吻合,评价意义对等传达;译文把弥漫在原文中的态度意义聚拢到具体语言成分上,添加评价词汇,或利用各种语相手段,对译文读者予以引导,译文态度意义显示出眀释化的特点;另外,意识形态的影响会使译者对原文中的态度资源作出选择性调整,译文中的态度意义不忠实于原文。

Attitude has its prosodic characteristics,which influences the translator＇s choice of translation strategy.Having compared the Chinese novel Er Ma and its English version,we find that： the appraisal meaning in the original text and that in its English version matches occasionally;attitude in the English version sometimes is more explicitly expressed by adding appraisal resources or having weak appraisal meaning centered on a specific appraisal word or words;attitude in the English version is also expressed and made explicit by manipulating various graphological features.It has also been found that the translator＇s ideology plays a part in the translation process.As a result,they choose to make adjustment to the original appraisal meaning.
