传播学视野下的公众演讲与口译教学

Public Speaking and the Teaching of Interpreting from the Perspective of Communication Studies

摘要 公众演讲是传播学研究的一个重要范畴。公众演讲策略对口译教学至关重要,但却是一个被忽略的领域。本文以Daniel Giel提出的认知负荷模型为理论基础,分析培养公众演讲策略对提高口译员理解、分析和表达能力的重要性,并进一步指出如何将这些策略运用于口译培训中,以提高译员的能力。 Public speaking is an important area for the study of communication. While public speaking strategies are of vital importance to the teaching of interpreters, not enough attention has been given to this area. This essay deals with the defini- tion and theoretical views about public speaking from the perspective of communication. With the help of Daniel Gile' s Ef- fort Model, this essay argues that public speaking competencies are of great importance to trainee interpreters, in that they help to enhance interpreters' abilities of understanding, analyzing and re - expressing. It further explores how these strategies can be applied to interpreting training.
