The paper analyzes the activities and the public administration of the national autonomous local government with the basic principles of ecology. It also expounds the relation between the au tonomous government and the ecological factors in the environment where it exists, in terms of the exchanges of material, energy and information between the autonomous government system and the natural and social surroundings. There would be a good understanding of the operation and effective ness of the autonomous government, and a complete awareness of the ability of it to build a harmoni ous society. Therefore, it is both possible and inevitable to employ the ecological point of view to study the national autonomous local government.
