After spray-lining and resuming operation,the No. 7 BF still faced problems due to the deteriorated raw materials and fuels. The problems were then solved by making use of the beneficial furnace hearth brought about by the spray-lining, and taking a series of measures against the changes of the internal and external conditions of the furnace. Good technical and economical benefits were thus gained with the furnace, and the iron cost was effectively cut down.
