从分析信息社会演进的４个阶段：计算机时代、网络时代、内容时代、智能时代及信息技术的结构：信息获取技术、信息处理技术、信息传输技术、信息应用技术出发，根据我国信息产业发展的概况，论述了加快林业数据库建设，开发林业科技信息资源是我国林业科技信息发展的战略重点。

Abstract The evolution of information society and structure of information technique are presented.The evolutional sequence is computer era,network era,content era and intelligent era.The information technique includes information accessvng technique,information processing technique,information transmission technique and information application technique. According to the status quo and development of information industry,the strategic emphasis of development on forestry scientific and technological information is to develop forestry information resource.
