Hegel: A Philosophical Response to Modernity

德国古典哲学的意义在于揭示了主体是世界的依据这一现代性原则,但由此而来的主客对峙也成了现代性面临的一个难题。黑格尔在坚持主体性原则的同时,用发展的观点和主客双向建构的思想拯救了主体向任意性的滑落,从而对这一现代性难题作出了哲学回应。这个回应由于兼顾了个体与整体因而在直至今天的现代性话语中依然不失其现实意义。

The significance of German classic philosophy lies in the revelation of the modern principle according to which subject is the basis of the world,but this gives rise to a difficult issue of modernity that subject confronts object.Hegel saves subject from declining to the arbitrary state by adopting a developmental point of view and the idea of a bidirectional construction of subject and object as well as sticking to the principle of subjectivity.In this way he responses to the difficult issue of modernity philosophically and this response is still significant in today＇ discourse of modernity due to the consideration of individual and totality.
