摘要
本文以无锡市马山区市民广场规划为例，论述了广场的定义，广场的构成要素，广场的规划设计原则，提出在市民广场的规划设计过程中，不仅要考虑广场的物质构成要素，还应考虑广场的精神要素。
The planning principle of townspeople square was studies on the basis of Maoshan townspeople square inWuxi in this paper. Townspeople square not only was a place for entertainment, but also was a reflection of localhistory and culture.
