介绍了中药材GAP实施8年来所取得的成绩，提出了修订和完善中药材GAP及其认证标准的8点意见，即：增加野生药用植、动物采收和捕猎标准；补充有关物料管理内容；制订真菌类药材GAP及认证标准；充实和完善药用动物养殖管理和认证标准；增加野生中药材人工抚育内容及认证标准；制订相应配套法规，体现中药材优材优用、优质优价；加大监管力度，加强跟踪检查；彷《良好农业规范》，扩充中药材GAP内容。
