Taking the construction of the school history room of Huanggang Polytechnic College as an example,this paper expounds the importance of archival work,and points out that the school history room provides a platform for teachers and students of the college for making face-to-face conversation and communication with college’s history,and the school history room has become college’s main window for external propaganda and a base of entrance education for freshmen.
