The metadiscourse and information structure are vital for text to transmit message.After analyzing the metadiscourse and information structure in two typical texts,the author finds two conclusions.The first one is that good texts and poor texts have different characteristics in the aspect of metadiscourse and information structure.The second one is that the appropriate use of metadiscourse and processing of information structure have a great effect on the information transmission.
