清代是我国各类著述蜂拥、各种典籍书刻发展的颠峰时期,作为其重要基础和内容的校勘学也集前代于大成,达到了其发展的最高水平。其间不仅有丰富的实践经验积淀,而且形成了相当成熟的校勘理论和思想。因而,对之作系统地概括总结,在爬梳中进行条分缕析的阐释,并用以弘扬民族文化精神和指导现实的编辑出版工作和人才的成长发展,乃是其价值凝结的终极体现。

Publications in different academic areas,including literature and calligraphy,have witnessed a peak time in the Qing Dynasty.So are those of collative studies.Collative scholars at that time had not only rich collative experience but also sound collative theories.A systematical summary of the branch of study under discussion,with detailed interpretations of key scholars,is of great help for the dissemination of traditional Chinese culture and the growth of editors as well as the development of contemporary publication industry.
