Gansu's Urban Development in Qing Dynasty from National Perspective

在多民族的共同经营下,清代中前期的甘肃获得较大的开发与建设。作为区域中心的城市呈现出整体的繁荣,既展现出与内地城市极大的相似性,同时又具有独特的区域民族性。然而,晚清以来由于主政者对民族问题的肤浅认识及措置失当,而引发了巨大的战乱,城市发展被迫中断,至清末归于全面衰落。

Under the multi-ethnic common management,Gansu got much development and construction in the early and mid-Qing dynasty.As the center of a region,the city presented the wide prosperity,which not only shows the great similarities with mainland cities,but also has a unique regional nationality.However,because of the war caused by the government＇s superficial understanding ethnic problems and wrong done in the late Qing dynasty, the urban development had been forced to break off,and shown a comprehensive decline.
