历代陕西状元考略

Champions in Imperial Examinations in the Past Dynasties from Shaanxi

根据陕西方志、《登科记考》和近年出版的有关状元研究专著等资料进行比对查考,历代陕西状元计有21人,包括现籍陕西或祖籍陕西的状元,但不含居地在陕的4位李氏宗室子弟。从总数看,陕西状元不比号称状元大省的江浙地区,但在唐代,可考的陕西状元数量是位列前茅的,且陕西状元或政绩卓著,或才华出众,大多史册有载,作为陕西人物中一个特殊的群体,值得进一步挖掘、整理和研究。

A comparative study has been made,based on Shaanxi local chronicles,Deng Ke Ji Kao,monographs concerning champions in imperial examinations,published in the recent years.It is found that there are 21 champions in imperial examinations from Shaanxi in the past dynasties,some are from Shaanxi themselves,others are of Shaaxi descent,however,4 from Li＇s family are excluded,though they had once been living in Shaanxi.Considering its total number,champions from Shaanxi are fewer than those from Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces,yet,in the Tang Dynasty,Shaanxi took the leading position in the number of champions.Moreover,most of these champions from Shaanxi entered the list of the local chronicles owning to either their remarkable achievements in their official career or their exceptional brilliance.It is worthwhile to carry on further research into them as a special group of the leading figures from Shaanxi.
