黄宗羲与钱谦益之关系

The Relationship between Huang Zongxi and Qian Qianyi

黄宗羲于明末清初到常熟三次,主要是拜访钱谦益。作为晚辈学者,黄宗羲虔诚向前辈文宗钱谦益讨教学习;其间,黄宗羲参与声援临济宗僧诤的弱势一方,发挥其引导社会舆论的作用;黄、钱两人的地下抗清政治活动,则是若明若暗,信疑两似。黄宗羲对钱谦益的总体评价很高,但对其政治表现与文学创作方面,略有微词。

At the end of the Ming Dynasty and in the beginning of the Qing Dynasty,Huang Zongxi made three trips to Changshu,mainly for the purpose of visiting Qian Qianyi.As a young scholar,Huang respectfully and sincerely sought advice and guidance from Qian,his senior as well as a great master in literature at that time.Meanwhile,Huang warmly supported the weak side in the religious debate in Linji Sect,playing a steering role in public opinion.As for Huang and Qian＇s underground Anti-Qing activities,however,it was not so clear or certain,therefore,with lots of doubts.Generally,Huang spoke highly of Qian,but he held some veiled criticism of Qian＇s political behavior and literary creation.
