A Textual Research of Zhang Xie's Works

张燮一生著述近千卷,而《龙溪县志》(康熙版)著录疏漏甚多,《漳州府志》(光绪版)稍有纠正,然亦有所失,又未记卷数。除《东西洋考》,张燮其余著述传世极少,今人描述时甚至错讹颠倒。因此不能不加详考。张燮本人的诗文集主要有《北游稿》、《藏真馆集》(未见)、《霏云居集》、《霏云居续集》及可能已编竣而未刊刻的《霏云居三集》。

Zhang Xie wrote nearly 1,000 volumes of works,among which County Annals of Youxi（Version in the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty） contains many oversights and County Annals of Zhangzhou（Version in the reign of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty） was proofread but has careless omissions including that of volumes.His other works haven＇t been handed down and present accounts of them show many mistakes,so it is urgent to have a textual research.Zhang Xie＇s major poetic collections include Account of the Trip in the North of China,A Collection of Works in the Museum for Treasures（not to be found）,A Collection of Works in Huoyun House,A Second Collection of Works in Huoyun House,and A Third Collection of Works in Huoyun House which may be compiled but not carved and published.
