词"like"是核心词,它在BNCWordlist中占第69位;它的词性非常多,且like的派生能力又非常强;like能派生出除冠词,数词,叹词以外的所有词类(传统语法)。like自身的语义也经历了从Vi.到Vt.的转变。派生过程中有矛盾冲突,亦有补偿办法;形容词类的"-ly"派生能力有限,副词类的"-ly"是"like"演变的终结。

Word＂like＂is the kernal in English.It is the 69th in BNCWordlist.It has many word classes.The word ＂like＂ in English can derive all word classes except article,numeral,interjection.Also ＂like＂ itself has undergone a change from Vi.to Vt.In the derivative process there are conflicts and remedies.Adjectival suffix ＂-ly＂ is very limited in derivative process;adverbial suffix＂-ly＂is the last stage in derivative.
