On Yuan Cai's View of Femininity

袁采所著《袁氏世范》反映了其在家庭伦理、婚姻与家庭管理等方面的女性观。虽然他的女性观不可避免地打上了时代的烙印,有一定的局限性,但他亦能从人道主义角度出发,同情和怜悯女性弱势群体,并对传统的婚姻观念提出异议,进而提出较为进步的婚姻观。

Family Doctrine of Yuan,written by Yuan Cai,reflects the author＇s view of femininity in many aspects such as family ethics,marriage,and household management,etc.Though there is some limitation in his concepts,which was inevitably branded by his time,Yuan sympathized and pitied the disadvantaged feminine group,raised an objection to the traditional marriage concept,and proposed some progressive views of marriage.
