The Regional Multiplicity in Chinese History and Culture

中国历史与文化的"区域多样性"主要有两方面内涵:(1)景观多样性,包括自然景观的多样性、文化景观的多样性以及景观认知与意义的多样性。(2)历史道路与发展进程的多样性,主要表现为历史发展道路的区域差异、不同区域在历史进程中的差异以及影响历史发展诸要素的区域差异。区域多样性的视角与思想方法,试图摆脱以"王朝更替"为中心线索的区域史叙述与阐释模式,强调中国历史与文化的内部差异与多元构成,认为中国历史的发展,并非一条单一的轨迹,不同的区域都可能有其自身的历史发展脉络。

The regional multiplicity in Chinese history and culture＂ mainly has two connotations.The one may be termed as multiplicity of landscape that includes the multiplicity of natural landscape,multiplicity of cultural landscape as well as multiplicity of learning,defining and signifying the landscape.The other may be termed as regional multiplicity of historical path and course that mainly shows the regional difference in historical path and developmental course,as well as regional difference of various essential factors influencing historical development.The view and thinking method about the regional multiplicity stress the internal diversity and the multi-dimensional constitution supposing that the history may be not a sole path in China.In other words,the different region possibly has it own historical path and course.
