摘要
免费报在台湾起步较早,并以捷运免费报为主导,曾呈蓬勃发展之态势,但大多开办时间不长。时至今日,捷运免费报仅存《Upaper》和《爽报》,二者也是目前台湾最大的两家免费报。免费报颠覆了传统报纸的运营模式,它们曾经为台湾报业的发展找到了一条新的路径,但也为台湾报业市场带来了很多问题。在免费报把新闻植入式行销视为合乎职业道德、"腥膻色"报道屡见不鲜的同时,在免费报纸向广告纸蜕变、免费报人向广告人蜕变的同时,台湾的传统报业和传统的办报思想也经受了前所未有的挑战。
Free newspapers have started early in Taiwan and once developed vigorously with the leading of Metro free newspapers,but most of them have not lasted long.The Upaper and Shuang Bao are now Taiwan's two most important free newspapers.By subverting the traditional business model,free newspapers seem to have found a new way for the development of Taiwan's newspaper industry.But things go contrary to people's wishes.When product placement and sensationalism are looked upon as conforming to journalist professional ethics and free newspapers change to advertising papers,the journalists change to advertisers,Taiwan's traditional newspaper and journalism have endured an unprecedented challenge.
