Childe Harold's Pilgrimage and Don Juan are two of Byron's long narrative poems. With the protagonists' travels as their clues, both narrative poems,in an unconstrained way, depict lively pictures of the European social life from late 18th century to early 19th century. In both narrative poems, the narrators' self-consciousness is continuously intensified, with the images of the narratees more profound, narrative voices more multiple and narrative levels more diversified. This paper is intended to make a comparison of the narrators in these two poems, aiming to outline the evolution and changes of the narrators.
