《诗式》是皎然晚年的作品,《诗议》是皎然早期的作品。《诗议》肯定用事,基本否定齐梁诗,反对俗巧,但大历时期文风崇尚俗谑,盛行游戏为诗,士风狂放不束,盛行洪州禅,对齐梁诗的看法有了变化。因此皎然晚年《诗式》,不但不再反对俗巧,反而赞成戏俗,赞成调笑一格。对齐梁诗多持肯定态度,否定用事。这说明,从《诗议》到《诗式》,皎然文学思想有了变化。认识这种变化,可以帮助我们更为准确地把握大历年间的文学思想。

Shi Shi is Jiao Ran＇s later poetic creation, while Shi Yi his early literary works, which preferred allusion rather than the poetic style of the Qi and Liang Dynasties and opposed conventional skills. But in the Da Li period the poetic style was witty, ironic and even wild and unrestrained with popularity of Hongzhou Buddhist fashion, which impacts his views about the poetry of the Qi and Liang Dynasties and brings about the changes in his later Shi Shi. Since then he turned out to be in favor of wit, vulgarity and teasing instead of allusion. The recognition of his literary changes will help us have a better understanding of the literary thought in the Da Li period.
