河洛文化就是指以河洛地区为中心,与东南西北四个文化圈相衔接的、上古至北宋时期的传统文化圈,其核心为夏商周文化。在河洛文化的众多特征中,河洛文化区别于其他区域性文化最鲜明、最本质的特征是它的根源性。所谓根源性,一是指在诸种文化中发端时间早,对文明发展方向有引领作用,二是指作为文化核心的思想富于原创性。史前考古文化足以说明河洛文化的根源性特征,河图洛书是河洛文化根源性的文化符号和标志,思想元典的原创性是河洛文化根源性的最有力证明。

Heluo culture refers to the culture circle which centers around the Huanghe and Luohe areas and joins together with four surrounding culture circles.It is a traditional culture circle which originated from the ancient times and prospered until North Song Dynasty.Its core is the culture of dynasties of Xia,Shang and Zhou.Among characters of Heluo culture,the originality is the most characteristic,most fundamental for it to be differentiated from others regional culture.Originality,on one hand,means that it begins earlier than other cultures and performs the leading position for civilization.On the other hand,the thoughts,as the core of culture,are quite original.Pre-history archeology culture illustrates the originality of Heluo Culture.'He pictures' and 'Luo books' are the symbols to prove its originality.The originality of the thoughts is the power proof for the originality of Heluo culture.
