By applying bibliometrics,the paper investigates the distribution of the articles,authors and citations of the Journal of Guangzhou Maritime College in the period 2004 to 2008 and makes a quantitative analysis on some related data and hopes to reveal objectively the academic research level and developing trend of Guangzhou Maritime College.The paper also puts forward some highlights on library readers＇service and book collection construction.
