The mode of scientific research training for eight-year medical students has its specificity. It is very important to develop their scientific research initiation and cultivate their innovative ability at the preclinical stage. We explored ways of providing scientific research guidance for eight-year medical students： making short-term and efficient training programs, implementing them step by step, carrying out regular research training and literature studying, guiding students＇ review writing, and involving them in research design and practice. We have achieved good effects.
