英汉语形容词名词化:从事物到其特征认知域的缩小显影

On English and Chinese Adjective Nominalization:The Reduced Profile from Its Entity Domain to Its Attribute Domain

在认知语法框架内对形容词名词化这一问题考察发现,形容词名词化的本质在于其基底-侧面之间的转换以及显影的缩小,即凸显的部分发生了变化。基于真实语料的考察表明,英汉语中都有大量的特征形容词用来代替整个名词词组的情况,而与词类问题关系不大。

After an investigation of adjective nominalization in the framework of Cognitive Grammar,the nature of nominalization lies in the change of base and profile,i.e.,the profile part is different.Based on real linguistic data,many adjectives with features in English and Chinese can take the place of the whole noun phrase,so that we leave out the noun and use the adjective only.And it is not related with word class.
