The well-spun death of Polonius by Shakespeare have long been overlooked.Critics have either ignored the presence of Polonius,or considered his death as a mistaken killing.To treat Polonius as barely a substitute of Claudius may well efface the political and moral significance of his death.Yet through close textual reading,it is easy to find that,Polonius is actually murdered by Hamlet but not killed mistakenly.
