Adopting Chinese Patent Retrieval System,the paper focuses on the current situation of patent application of foreign companies in pharmacy domain,analyzes the retrieval result from the perspective of patent statistics which reveals their fundamental layout;furthermore,the paper depicts the development strategy and trend of foreign pharmacy,provides important reference for formulating and implementing drug patent strategy,in order to promote the development of China＇s pharmaceutical patent and enhance the market competitiveness of the pharmaceutical industry.
