从“视野融合”的角度谈数字习语的翻译

Numerical Idioms Translation:Approached from the Perspective of the Reception Theory

数字习语作为习语中不可或缺的一部分,具有鲜明的文化特征,通常简练、生动、形象。本文运用接受理论,分析了数字习语产生的文化差异,并从视野融合的角度提出了英汉数字习语翻译的建设性方法。

Idioms are fixed sentences or phrases,which are the quintessence refined from life and practice.They always mirror the national and local characteristics.Numerical idioms,as one important part of idioms,have strong cultural characteristics.They are usually terse and vivid.In order to accurately understand and use these idioms in English and Chinese,it is necessary to make a comparative analysis of their cultural characteristics.This paper applies this to the translation between these two languages and suggestsed some constructive methods.
