《全相二十四孝诗选》是一本宣扬中华文化精神核心——孝道的书,其影响已深入到中华民族的血液之中,该书的编撰者郭居敬功不可没。久已流传的"二十四孝"故事,经过郭居敬的编撰整理,并给每一孝故事配上一首五言诗,形成了自虞舜而下到宋代为止完整的《全相二十四孝诗选》,作为训戒童蒙的教材,从而广为流传。郭居敬是元朝延平府尤溪县人。尤溪县今属三明市管辖。《中国人名大辞典》上记载郭居敬为"元大田人"是不正确的。

Abstract： ＂The Twenty-four Poems of Filial Piety＂, as a book about filial piety - the spiritual core of Chinese culture, has exerted such an influence that it has deeped rooted in the Chinese nationality. This owes a great deal to the compiler of the book, Guo Ju-jing. He wrote the ＂Twenty-four Stories of Filial Piety＂ which has been long passed on, and composed a verse of five words to eulogize each authentic account of filial practice. As a complete work （up to the Song Dynasty from Shun The Great）, the book served as moral teaching material for children and popularized far and wide. Guo Ju-jing was a native of Youxi County, Yanping City in the Yuan Dynasty. Youxi County is now under the jurisdiction of Sanming City. It is incorrect to record in the Grand Dietionary of Chinese Figures that Guo Ju-jing was a native of Datian of the Yuan Dynasty.
