The social attributes of music are expounded. It is pointed out that music is the product of the society, reflecting its prosperity and declining; musicians are one part of society, deeply effected or marked by ages on emotions and thoughts; music interacts with society, which means they are in a reciprocal relation of a chain reaction. Examples are listed to analyze that social conditions provide chances for the music development, on the contrary, the development of music is restrained by society. It holds that music as a kind of tools which is put too much emphasis on would deviate from the nature of musical arts and sink into cultural dogma.
