This paper first introduces the definition of autonomous learning and its elements.Then the factors which affect the autonomous learning of foreign language at college are analyzed.Teachers＇ and students＇ concepts of autonomous learning,the cultural differences between the West and the East the individual differences between students and the educational institutions and policies of China have great effects on the college students＇ autonomous learning of a foreign language.
