摘要
百姓,本指百官族姓,战国以降,转指平民。百姓一词的语义变迁,既表现了词语意义的历史演变规律,又反映着社会生活和人们思想意识形态的变化。从批评语言学视角分析,百姓一词表现了社会权势的不平等,是社会文化生活在词语中的反映,具有一定的历史文化基础。但是,它却不合现代民主社会的政治要求,公民取代百姓一词是其发展的必然趋势。
