After the 1970s,the cultural turn in translation studies in the West brings about new features and methods. The target language-oriented translation approach results from this shift and reaffirms the cultural identities and roles of translators in the translation process.Scholars come to realize that it is the translator that constitutes the subject of translation as well as an important participant in the process of the translation. However, the translator's identities have not been received recognition and affirmation in the long-term translation studies which inevitably leads to some negative results to translation studies.
