On Literary Translation Annotation

随着文化翻译论的兴起,翻译加注的处理方式日益为人推崇。勿庸置疑,对于文化交流而言,翻译加注是一种重要的手段。然而该手段并非没有局限性,而且文学翻译并不是非要处处体现文化,多数情况下,信息传递重于文化传播。因此加注要客观合理,不为加注而加注。结合翻译理论与实践,本文提出了"尽可能不加注"的观点。

Cultural translation theory is gaining in popularity.Annotation,an active approach to transfer source language cultures,therefore,wins universal praise.The approach,however,is not of no limitations.And cultural transference in most cases doesn＇t figure high on the list of priorities,giving way to meaning.Based on translation theory and practice,this paper comes up with the suggestion that ＂Annotation is the last choice in translation＂.
