邓小平高度关注党和国家事业发展中的团结问题,他不仅重视人与人之间的团结,党员与党员之间的团结、党与非党之间的团结,而且还特别重视民族团结,国家之间的团结和国际团结。邓小平认为,实现全国人民的团结要靠共同的理想和信念;实现党与人民群众的团结,就要坚决反对干部特殊化,下大力整治腐败;要增强党自身的团结,就必须反对派性;共产党员要搞好各方面的团结工作,自身养成一些优秀的品质至关重要;做好民族团结工作,必须要注意消除隔阂,发展民族经济,培养好少数民族干部;要实现国际团结,必须遵循和平共处五项基本原则,奉行独立自主的外交路线和对外政策;促成安定团结的局面需要多种因素发挥作用,需要各方面形成合力。
