生成语言学对庄子语言哲学的现代阐释

Modern Interpretation of Zhuangzi’s Philosophy of Language: from the Perspective of Generative Linguistics

关于语言本质、语言功能、儿童语言习得以及古代传统的"名实之辨"与"言意之辨"等问题,战国时期的庄子都进行过精辟的论述。在生成语言学的理论背景下,对比乔姆斯基和庄子的语言观,二者在语言认识论上存在许多惊人的相似之处。现代生成语言学研究的发展无疑是对庄子语言哲学的一种现代阐释。

On the nature and function of language,children’s language acquisition,the ancient traditional debates of ＂name and reality＂ and ＂word and meaning＂ as well as other relevant issues,Zhuangzi,a thinker in the Warring states period of the Spring and Autumn,had provided a brilliant exposition.In the context of the theory of generative grammar,the author compares Zhuangzi’s view of language with Chomsky’s and finds that there are many striking similarities between the two in terms of language epistemology,and it argues that modern development of generative grammar can serve as a modern interpretation of Zhuangzi’ s philosophy of language.
