English pun is one of the widely used rhetoric methods in English which makes the language humorous and witty, interesting and dynamic. The understanding of puns needs reactors＇ broad vision, common sense, background knowledge, smart imagination and good artistic appreciation. This paper, shifting the focus to the cognitive, analyses the constructing and perceiving processes of English puns in terms of conceptual integration theory, and explores the powerful explanation of the conceptual integration for meaning construction.
