摘要
任何教育活动都是有目的的。教育史上长期存在着教育目的个人本位论与社会本位论之争。杜威的教育目的观有其深刻的社会背景和哲学及社会思想渊源,他主张教育即生长,生长的目的是更多的生长;教育过程以外无目的,教育目的寓于教育过程、教育活动之中。虽然杜威的教育目的观受到许多教育理论研究者的批评与质疑,但在今天,这种教育理论依然有很多积极因素值得人们去探索、去挖掘。
Any educational activity has its aim.There has been a fierce debate between individual-oriented educational aim and society-oriented educational aim in history.Dewey’s principles of education aims are socially and philosophically backgrounded.He claims that education is growth,that the aim of growth is to evoke more growth and that the aims only exist within the educational process and activities.Although his views have encountered much criticism and questioning,their positive elements are still worth exploring.
