美作为人类感知宇宙世界所形成的一种文化积淀,它是一种特殊的精神形态,其形成规则有三:由实用走向欣赏、从现实走向虚化、从具象走向抽象。其构成要素包括意识、形象、情感和符号等,其中意识起引导作用,形象提供了基本感受素材,情感则是激活形象的助推器,最终以符号的形式出现。

As a kind of cultural accumulation in the course of human perception of the world, beauty exists in a special state with its spiritual configuration. It follows three paths in its formation： from practicality to appreciation; from reality to virtuality; from concreteness to abstractness. The components in the configuration include sense, image, emotion and symbol. Sense plays the guiding role; image offers essential perceptive material; emotion is an activator of image; and symbol is the form in which beauty presents itself.
