地点介词表进行体的认知分析

A Cognition-based Approach to Progressive Aspect Expressed by Locative Prepositions

本文试图解决以下几个问题:1)英语中哪些地点介词可表进行体?2)地点介词何以表进行体?3)地点介词表进行体的认知基础和认知理据是什么?通过对地点介词表进行体的语法特征和认知过程的具体分析,本研究认为:状态过程性是进行体语义的本质特征;地点状态这一空间义项是表进行体介词的语义基础,也即具备地点状态这一空间义项的介词才可表进行体;地点介词表进行体是以地点图示(location schema)和事件图示(event schema)中状态的相似性为基础,将意象图式从具体的空间域映射到抽象的时间域的认知过程。

This paper aims at accounting for the following issues： 1）which locative prepositions can express progressive aspect;2）why locative prepositions can express progressive aspect;3）what the cognitive base and mechanism of progressive aspect expressed by locative prepositions are.By exploring the grammar features and cognitive process of the progressive aspects expressed by prepositions,the paper holds that state process is the foundational feature of the progressive aspects.The locative state is the semantic base of the prepositions which can express progressive aspect.The similarity of the state feature both in location schema and event schema is the cognitive base of the progressive aspects expressed by prepositions.Image schema is the cognitive motivation of the progressive aspects expressed by prepositions.
