On the C-E Translation of Passive Structures in Chinese Classics

在汉语古籍的英译过程中,被动结构通常可以相应地使用英语中的被动语态。但由于文本的作者、译者、表达和含义之间的关系是积极的而不是随意的,因而在不少情况下,根据目的语的表达习惯和适应性原则的要求,古汉语被动结构亦可使用主动语态进行变通转译。

In the C-E translation of Chinese classics,passive voice is usually adopted respectively.As the links between the text producer,the translator,text expression and text meaning are motivated rather than at random,in many cases,passive voice can be appropriately applied to the translation of the passive structures on the bases of habitual expression in the target language and the principle of adaptability as well.
