戴志骞先生是我国近代图书馆学家,他提出"两半球论"、"六要素说",主导中国图书馆由学习日本转向学习美国,宣传新图书馆运动,领导图书馆专业组织,关注图书馆发展中的重要问题,在图书馆学理论、图书馆事业发展等诸多方面做出了重要贡献,他的思想对今天的图书馆事业发展仍然很有意义。

Mr.T.C.Tai was a modern Chinese library scientist.He proposed the two-hemisphere theory and six-factor theory.He guided to learn from America instead of learning from Japan.He propagandized the new library movement,led the library science specialty organization,and concerned the important topics of the library science development.He made the important contributions to the library science theory and the Chinese library cause.His ideas are still helpful to the development of the today′s library cause.
