中国是一个以农村人口占多数的发展中国家,农村医疗制度既是中国医疗保障制度中的有机组成部分,也是中国农村社会保障体系中的重要内容。对中国农村医疗制度的研究,对于保障农民的身体健康、缓解农民对"因病致贫、因病返贫"的担忧、维护农村社会繁荣稳定具有重要的理论和现实意义。中国农村医疗体制改革重点应是建立完善的新型农村合作医疗制度,并努力推动其向社会医疗保险方向发展。

China is a largely agricultural population developing country.Not only is the rural cooperative medical system of health care system an organic part but also it is the main content of the rural social security system in China.The study of Chinese rural medical system is beneficial to the peasants＇ health and the alleviation of their poverty caused by diseases＇.This study has theoretical and practical significance to maintain the rural social stability.Therefore,the point of the rural healthy system reform is to be established the new rural CMS and to propel it to social medical care.
