On the Cultivation of Cross-cultural Awareness in English Teaching

语言与文化有密切的联系,语言是文化的载体,培养学生对中外文化差异的理解和敏感性是实现英语教学目标的必由之路。本文根据新课改对英语教学中文化意识的要求,结合中外文化差异,联系英语课堂教学实际,论述英语教学中跨文化意识培养的重要性和必要性,探讨了在英语教学中培养跨文化意识的方式与方法。

Language and culture are linked closely,because language is the carrier of culture.So,it is the only way to achieve the goals of English teaching that helps students to develop the understanding of Chinese and foreign cultural differences and sensitivity.It is discussed in this article that the importance and necessity of cross-culture awareness and ways to train this capability under the new curriculum for English language teaching by comparing differences between Chinese and foreign culture,contacting the experience in English classroom teaching.
