Influence of Twist on Knot Strength and Hook Strength of Aramid Filaments

对不同捻度的两种不同线密度的芳纶长丝的打结强力和钩接强力进行测试.随捻度的增加,钩接强力逐渐降低.打结强力先增加、后减小,对此现象从芳纶纤维的微观结构、钩接和打结的宏观受力状态进行解释.

The phenomena that the hook strength decreases continuously and the knot strength increases at first, and furthermore decreases with the twist increases have been observed through the knot strength and the hook strength experiments of the twisted aramid filaments. An explanation is given to the phenomena by analyzing the special microstructure of ar-amid fiber and the difference of force loaded conditions between a knot and a hook.
