The design and synthesis of highdimensional moleculebased ferromagnets are the challenge of the nature to chemists. The goal of this paper is to point out some facets of this area. The importance of highdimensional moleculebased ferromagnets is briefly discussed, some general bridgingligands, synthesis methods and their recent progress in this area are presented.\;
