虚阳外越之证乃阴阳失调之特殊状态,其发生、发展均与阳气虚衰及阴液耗竭有着密切关系,治则总以温固阳气为主。此证实属危殆证候,病至此际,不可不慎,误治或失治皆可出现阳亡阴竭的证候。

The outward dispersion of deficient yang is the special status due to the imbalance of yin and yang, its occurrence and development are closely related to the deficiency of yang-qi and the exhaustion of yin fluids. The therapeutic principle mainly lies in warming and strengthening yang-qi. The syndrome proves to be the critical condition, therefore, the wrong treatment or untimely treatment may cause the syndrome of yin-yang collapse.
